How do I play BORROW?

Drag from inside a coloured tile onto a neighbouring tile; that tile becomes your colour. One drag changes one tile. Filled dots show occupied space, empty rings show space a home still needs, and stars must end up inside a home of their colour. You win when all four homes say Ready: the right size, every matching star, and still connected. Slide back or off the board to cancel a drag.

Where do I learn the rules again?

Tap Learn to play on the home screen for the short lessons, practice boards, and the timed gauntlet.

I'm stuck on a puzzle

Tap Reveal solution for a step-by-step walkthrough from the starting position. Closing it returns your own board exactly as you left it. Revealed boards are marked in your history.

When do new daily puzzles appear?

Each new set of eight puzzles appears at midnight UTC. Three are free; five are included with Dendrites Plus. You can go back and play past editions with the arrows at the top.

What does Dendrites Plus cost, and how do I cancel?

Dendrites Plus is a monthly subscription; the price is shown in the app before you subscribe. It renews automatically until you cancel in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next month.

How do I restore my subscription?

Open the Dendrites Plus screen and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with.

I subscribed but the extra puzzles are still locked

If the purchase needs approval (for example, Ask to Buy), the puzzles unlock once Apple confirms it. Otherwise try Restore Purchases. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple; to request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

My progress disappeared

Progress is saved only on the iPhone where you played and does not sync between devices. Deleting the app deletes that progress, and we cannot recover it because we never receive it.

Does Dendrites need an internet connection?

No. Every puzzle is built in and the game works fully offline. Subscribing or restoring needs a connection to the App Store.

Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to play Dendrites. The app currently includes:

VoiceOver. Every board tile is read aloud with its row, column, colour, and any creature or star on it. Swipe up or down on a tile to hear the colours it can take, then double-tap to make the move. After each move, VoiceOver announces each home's size against its target. Buttons, home status meters and menus are labelled.
Larger Text. Text follows your Dynamic Type setting, including the larger accessibility sizes.
Reduce Motion. When Reduce Motion is on, board and button animations are turned off.
Not colour alone. Each colour also has its own symbol and tile pattern (dot, line, plus, diamond), stars carry the matching symbol, and every home shows a written status such as "Ready" or "Need space".
No sound needed. The game has no audio; haptics are optional feedback only.
No time pressure. Daily puzzles and lessons are untimed; only the optional gauntlet has a clock.
Every puzzle has a step-by-step solution walkthrough.

The app uses a light appearance only and does not yet offer a dark mode.
