Frequently asked questions

The alarm didn't go off

First, check these:

The app has alarm permission: Settings → Neuro Alarm → Alarms
Your device was powered on and had battery
The alarm was toggled on, and set for the correct day

If the alarm still fails, email us with your device model and iOS version.

Please note: Neuro Alarm is not a substitute for a reliable alarm for critical events. Always use a second, independent alarm for flights, medical appointments, medication, or anything where oversleeping would cause harm.

How do I stop the alarm?

Solve the day's puzzle. If you dismiss the alarm without solving it, it will return in 60 seconds and keep returning until you solve it. This is intentional.

I can't solve the puzzle and I need the alarm to stop

Hold the "Stop alarm" control in the app for 20 seconds. This silences the current alarm. It will break your streak.

How do I add a friend?

Go to Leaderboard → Find friends, search for their exact username, and send a request. They need to accept it before either of you appears on the other's leaderboard.

Why is my friend's leaderboard empty?

Leaderboards show today's results only. If your friend hasn't completed today's puzzle yet, they appear at the bottom as "Not finished." Pull down to refresh.

Someone is harassing me or has an offensive username

Tap and hold their row on the friends list or leaderboard, then choose Block or Report. Blocking takes effect immediately and removes them from your search, friends, and leaderboard. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

You can also email us directly at the address above.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your username, friends, and all recorded results. It cannot be undone.

If you can't access the app, email us and we will delete it for you.

I got a new phone and lost my account

Account recovery requires having secured your account with Sign in with Apple before switching devices. Without it, we have no way to identify your previous account, and your username, friends, and history cannot be recovered.

To protect your account: Settings → Secure my account.

Why does everyone get the same puzzle?

That's the point. Each day, every player gets the same board for each difficulty, so solve times are directly comparable. Every board is guaranteed solvable by logic alone — you never have to guess.
