Manifest is a packing-list app for iPhone. You sign in with Apple or Google so your
trips sync between your devices, and we store your account and the trips you create. Packing
lists are written and boarding passes are read on your iPhone. Your
photos never leave your device. We do not sell your data, show ads, use analytics, or
track you across other apps and websites.
What we collect and why
Account details. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your
email address (or a private relay address if you choose Hide My Email) and, the first
time only, your name if you share it. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email
address and name (and Google may include your profile picture). We use them only to create
your account and sign you in. We never see your Apple or Google password.
Your trips. Destination, dates, trip types and flight details
(airline, flight number, airports, times, gate, terminal, seat and booking reference),
your packing items and what you've checked off, trip retros, your packing history and
items you've dismissed. We store these so they appear on all your devices.
A user ID that links your trips to your account.
We do not collect your location, contacts, health data, browsing history, or
advertising identifiers.
What stays on your iPhone
Photos you scan. When you scan a boarding pass, screenshot or
confirmation email, the image is read on your device using Apple's Vision framework
and, when available, Apple's on-device language model. The image is never uploaded or
stored. Only the flight details you choose to save are added to your trip.
Packing-list suggestions are generated on your device by Apple's
on-device language model, or from a built-in list if it isn't available.
Voice capture. When you add an item by voice, speech is turned
into text by iOS on your device. We never receive the audio.
Preferences such as light or dark theme and Simple mode.
The app uses the camera, photo library, microphone and speech recognition only when
you tap to use them, and only after iOS asks for your permission.
Who processes your data
Supabase stores your account and trips, and handles sign-in.
Apple provides Sign in with Apple, and Google
provides Sign in with Google.
Open-Meteo receives your trip's destination name to show a weather
forecast. It does not receive your name, email or account.
Apple also distributes the app. On-device processing described
above does not send your data to Apple.
If you tap Check for live flight status, your browser opens a web
search for that flight number; that search is governed by the search provider's privacy
policy. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for
advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Security and retention
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The database only lets a signed-in
user read their own records. We keep your data until you delete it or your account.
Deleting your data
A trip: delete it from your trip list or the trip screen. This
permanently removes the trip and its packing items.
Your account: tap Out → Delete account… in the app.
This permanently deletes your account and all of its trips, lists and history right away.
You can also email pixxlpickle@gmail.com from
the address you signed in with, and we will delete it within 30 days.
Children
Manifest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account,
contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the
CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your
personal information, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Email us to make a
request; we will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using
these rights. Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where
our providers operate.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Manifest handles data, we will update this policy and its effective
date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
